OEM Eclipses 500 Alumni with New Graduating Class

GAINESVILLE, FL:  The Outreach Engineering Management program graduated 42 students this past weekend, bringing the total alumni from the program to 518.  The class was  the 15th to complete the program since its inception in 1996.  The coursework was delivered in Orlando.

The OEM Program awards an MS degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with an engineering management track. Classes for the program are held off-campus, providing busy working professionals with the opportunity to obtain an engineering Master’s degree from a highly ranked university, and with no career interruption. Students meet only one weekend per month (all day Saturday and Sunday) for 20 months, and receive live instruction from accomplished UF faculty who travel from Gainesville to teach in this program.  The next program will meet in Orlando, with classes beginning in August 2013.

For many students, the OEM Program is a solution to the problem of whether to get a technical master’s degree or an MBA. For students who decide that they want both degrees, a concurrent degree option is now also available and requires only 12 more months of coursework (32 months total to earn both degrees).  For more information, visit the OEM website.
