GAINESVILLE, FL:   Industrial & Systems Engineering alumnus Carlos Del Sol (BS IE 1972) was named a University of Florida Distinguished Alumnus Award winner at the College of Engineering commencement on Sunday, May 5.  He briefly addressed the new graduates during the ceremony.

Del Sol retired as Vice President for Global Engineering at the Campbell Soup Company. In this position, he was responsible for supporting operations worldwide. Prior to joining Campbell Soup, he held positions in manufacturing, engineering, production, logistics, and advanced manufacturing technology.  He currently serves on the ISE Industrial Advisory Board and Chair of the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board.

Del Sol was inducted into the ISE Hall of Fame in 2010.  He is shown with President Bernie Machen and Dean Cammy Abernathy in the adjacent photo.
