Rebennack Wins Mentoring Award.

GAINESVILLE, FL (April 2010): Steffen Rebennack was named a HHMI (Howard Hughes Medical Institute) Science for Life Graduate Student Mentor Award winner in the Spring. “These awards recognize excellence in graduate students who are able to mentor their undergraduates to a point where the undergraduate achieves co-authorship in peer-reviewed publications,” and are awarded to graduate students across campus. Rebennack will graduate from the Ph.D. program this summer and has secured a faculty position at the Colorado School of Mines. (Fellow Center for Applied Optimization Ph.D. graduate Erhun Kundakcioglu won the award last year and is currently on the faculty at the University of Houston.)
