Gainesville, FL (March, 2011): Marisa Arvesu Farabaugh wanted something different when she graduated with her B.S. in ISE in 2003. So she headed north to work as an Industrial Engineer for The Hershey Company in Pennsylvania. Three years ago, she decided to take on another different challenge, returning to Gainesville as a Senior Management Engineer for Management Engineering Consulting Services and Shands HealthCare. In this role, she is responsible for completing a variety of management engineering projects throughout the hospital system ranging from large-scale implementations to department specific process improvement. She recently described the myriad of challenges in healthcare when addresses undergraduate ISE students in the Intro to ISE course.
