Barrett wins Entrepreneurship Club pitch competition, will represent UF at national conference

Head ShotGainesville, FL: Industrial & Systems Engineering student Sheldon Barrett recently took first place at the UF Entrepreneurship Club’s pitch competition, winning a trip to the 2014 National CEO Conference and automatic entry into the 2014 National Elevator Pitch Competition.

Barrett presented his 90-second business pitch on Coconut Twist, a product he has invented. He will now represent the University of Florida at the national level, where he will have 90 seconds to pitch his idea for the business, without the use of visuals.

The Industrial & Systems Engineering Department is very proud of Barrett’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit and wishes him luck at the national competition.
