GAINESVILLE, FL:  Dr. Yongpei Guan, Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Director of the Computational and Stochastic Optimization Lab, was recently appointed Guest Editor of a special issue of the journal IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid entitled “Optimization Methods and Algorithms Applied to Smart Grid.”  The articles for this special issue will either focus on providing new solution methods for existing models, or developing new models to formulate emerging problems applied to different aspects of smart grid technologies.  IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid is a joint publication of the Computational Intelligence Society, Communications Society, Computer Society, Control Systems Society, Industry Applications Society, Industrial Electronics Society, Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Power Electronics Society, Power & Energy Society, and Signal Processing Society.
