Symposium Provides Input into Career Development

The Advisory Board panel answers student questions

Gainesville, FL: The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering hosted a Symposium on Career Development on Saturday, February 4 at the University Hilton.  ISE Alumni Linda Hudson of BAE Systems, Inc., and William Muir of Jabil, delivered keynote addresses with two panel discussions held between the two talks.  ISE advisory board members Steven Chastain (self employed energy fund manager), Carlos del Sol (recently retired from Campbell Soup), Scott Figura (Coca Cola), Hunter Jones (Cameron), Roger Madariaga (recently retired from GKN), Consuela Smith (Harris), Eric Stern (Rockwell Collins), Kevin Teehan (HID Global) and David Wright (Nielsen) participated on the panels, which were moderated by ISE Department Chair Joseph Hartman.  Questions from the audience of alumni and students ranged from work-life balance to changing jobs.
