ISE Majors Sought Widely at Career Fair

GAINESVILLE: Companies returned to the University of Florida Career Fair this past week to seek out talent over a two day period. Firms looking to specifically hire ISE majors included the Air Force, Anheuser-Busch, Areva, Baker Hughes, Cameron, Campbell Soup, CIA, Costa Farms, Cree, Cummins, Eaton, ExxonMobil, Firth Rixson Forgings, General Electric, Harris, Infinite Energy, Ingersoll Rand/Trane, Intel, JCPenney, Johnson Controls, JPMorgan Chase, Lincoln Electric, Lockheed Martin, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, NAVAIR, Navy, NextEra Energy, Nielsen, Northrop Grumman, Oak Ridge National Lab, Office Depot, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Progress Energy, Rehrig Pacific, RTI Biologics, Sandia National Lab, Schlumberger, SIemens, Southern Company, Tech Data and Walmart. Those not identifying ISE majors, but looking for technical consultants included Accenture, Atkins, Chorege, Citrix, Crowe Horwath, E Gen Solutions, Kimley Horn and Associates, McKesson, Microsoft, MicroStrategy, OmniPoint, PROS, Protiviti, RIM (Blackberry) and Sunera. Other firms specified logistics or warehousing, including Amazon, Citi, PLS Logistics Services and Republic Services. Finally, firms looking for engineers in general (and not specifying those areas noted earlier) included Bank of America, Capital One, Chevron, Mosaic, Naval Surface Warfare Center, NVIDIA, Power Systems Mfg, Pratt and Whitney and Rockwell Collins.
