Farshi Lands Patterson Award

Gainesville, FL (April, 2011):  Shahrzad Farshi, an ISE master’s student with interests in operations research, won the Patterson Award as announced at the ISE Spring Banquet held on Saturday, April 30. The award, funded by a generous gift from Dr. Richard Patterson, Emeritus Professor, and his wife Mrs. Carolyn Patterson, recognizes an outstanding graduate student in the Department. Farshi earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and French from Wellesley College. She has worked for GE Appliances and Dessault Systems and has also been an instructor at Sante Fe College.
