GAINESVILLE, FL (MAY 2010): Panos Pardalos, Distinguished Professor of ISE, was named the International Educator of the Year by the College of Engineering. Internationally recognized for his research in global optimization, Pardalos engages in numerous international activities, including organizing conferences, publishing books, and editing journals. He also actively recruits students from all over the world into our Ph.D. program which has representatives from 17 different countries.
