GAINESVILLE, FL (September, 2010): Scott Figura (BS ISE 1983), Vice President of Supply Chain Technical Services with Coca Cola Enterprises, shared his experiences and career progression with undergraduate ISE majors in the “Intro to ISE” course on September 27, 2010. In addition to reviewing his work with the Navy, Pepsi, Coca Cola Enterprises and soon Coca Cola, he also shared his sixth sense: “I see process,” said Figura, referring to his constant desire to improve processes — from the bottling lines at his first IE job to implementing fuel cells in northeastern plants in his current position. Among his many duties, Figura is leading a number of corporate responsibility initiatives at Coca Cola, including reducing water usage, reducing energy usage (hence the use of fuel cells) and reducing the carbon footprint.
