GAINESVILLE, FL (October, 2010): Dan Boccabella (BS ISE 1993) interned with Blade Software as an undergraduate ISE student and, after a number of twists and turns, now serves as Senior Director of Product Development with SumTotal Systems, an evolution of Blade, in Gainesville. He returned to campus to address Sales Engineering students and talk about the life of an entrepreneur. “The challenge is getting customer number one,” he told students of his experience with MindSolve, the consulting firm that evolved from Blade before being acquired by SumTotal. “If you don’t have a proven track record,” he said, “you have to sell yourself.”
