About Bill Muir:
Bill Muir is a successful Chief Executive Officer with over 25 years of experience leading global teams to reach breakthrough results. An ethical leader with a passion for creating a purpose-driven culture and a demonstrated commitment to the betterment of others.
His impressive career began with Jabil, one of the largest employers in the Tampa area. Jabil strives to make anything possible and everything better. With over 260,000 employees, 100 locations in 30 countries, their vision is to be the most technologically advanced and trusted manufacturing solutions providers.
In 2002, his role as Vice President of Global Business Units, he served as sponsor for the companies most strategic customers including IBM, Adtran, and Lucent. He also secured GE as a customer, growing the relationship to ~$100M. He was the executive lead role in the integration of Lucent Shanghai acquisition – one of the company’s most successful acquisitions.
In 2004, he relocated to Shanghai whereas Senior Vice President & Regional President, Asia, he grew regional revenue from $1.3 Billion to $4.4 Billion. Consistently the most profitable region of the company. He opened Vietnam as a new market, driving and rapidly expanding China & India operations (3 new facilities, ~$1B of revenue). His leadership secured Jabil’s first wins with indigenous customers in both China & India based on the demonstration of mutual respect, trust and untethered capabilities.
In 2007, he was promoted as Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer for Global Manufacturing Services. Based in Singapore, his leadership was responsible for $14 Billion in business integrated across High Velocity, Enterprise & Infrastructure and Emerging Growth segments.
He returned to the US in 2013 as Jabil’s Chief Operating Officer leading the $25B globally diversified manufacturing solutions company with 200,000 employees and 100+ manufacturing facilities. His responsibilities included Enterprise R&D, Engineering, Marketing & Sales Enablement, IT, Supply Chain, Security (IP and Physical), Quality, Lean & Operational Excellence and Chief Architect of Disruptive Innovation. He renovated the corporate business model from electronic manufacturing services to more versatile global manufacturing services, shifting focus from pure electronics to diverse content. By shaping Jabil’s technical value proposition across all markets and geographies resulted in Jabil’s recognition as the preferred solutions provider for complex, accelerated product realization.
In 2018, he was hired by the Board of Directors of EFI (Electronics for Imaging), to rapidly transform the organization’s performance and culture to deliver increased shareholder value. EFI was a $1B technology company leading the worldwide transformation from analog to digital imaging.
In 2020, Bill was one of the founding partners of Steadfast Partners, an industrial technology advisory group founded by four seasoned C-suite executives with over 100 years of combined experience growing a small, regional manufacturer into a Fortune 150 global powerhouse.
