Abstract: University of Florida IRBs by Tanya V. Aranca, IRB Educator
The University of Florida Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) are charged with protecting the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in research. UF IRBs review all research involving human subjects to ensure the welfare and rights of research participants are protected as mandated by federal and state laws, local policies, and ethical principles. Learning objectives for this lecture include: an introduction to UF IRBs, getting started with the IRB process and myIRB, an overview of a strong IRB submission and common mistakes, and investigator responsibilities.
