(Left) Dr. Michelle Alvarado joined UF ISE on August 16th, as an Assistant Professor. She was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU). Dr. Alvarado, also, received her PhD degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from TAMU. She has ongoing work in the development of a health policy model for reducing hospital readmissions using a penalty-incentive model.
(Right) Dr. Hongcheng Liu joined UF ISE on August 16th, as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Liu was a Post-Doctoral Researcher of Radiation Oncology at the Stanford University. He received his PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He is interested in investigating computational and statistical complexities in high-dimensional learning, utilizing modern optimization theories.
