Daniel Shirley, a 4th year ISE applied to a group of 7 National IISE scholarships that are awarded to undergraduate ISE students who exhibit particular leadership characteristics in the field. After being nominated by the department he received three references including the department chair, and managers from internships at Orlando Health and Disney. His experience as IIE president, an ISE Ambassador, and having the overall desire to improve the patient experience in hospitals using data analytics resulted in being awarded the Henry and Elisabeth Kroeze Scholarship, the only student in the country to receive this award.
Congratulations Daniel!
