Ghadimi and Panagopoulos Receive Graduate Student Awards

Saeed Ghadimi and Orestis Panagopoulos received graduate student awards from the ISE Department at a luncheon held May 27, 2014.

Ghadimi, a student of Professor Lan who is in the final year of his PhD program, received the Hearn Graduate Student Research Award. Panagopoulos, a student of Professor Pardalos who is completing his Master’s Degree in ISE, received the Patterson Graduate Student Award.

The Hearn Award was made possible by an endowment by Professor Emeritus Donald Hearn, a former ISE Department Chair, and his wife Joyce. The Patterson Award was made possible by an endowment by the late Dr. Richard Patterson, a former faculty member in ISE at the University of Florida, and his wife Carolyn Patterson, who attended the luncheon along with Dr. and Mrs. Hearn, several ISE faculty members, and the award winners.
