ASHRAE Honors Capehart as New Fellow

DALLAS, TX:  The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) elevated Emeritus Professor Barney L. Capehart to the grade of Fellow in late January at the group’s annual Winter Conference in Dallas.  According to ASHRAE, “The analytical databases of (Capehart’s) research and development efforts—which included modeling, simulation, energy efficiency, energy management, digital computer simulation and web based energy information and control systems—served to justify the enactment of the Florida Appliance Efficiency Act in 1987 and Florida Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act of 1980.”  Approximately 1% of ASHRAE’s 50,000 members are Fellows.
