International Conference on Computational Biomedicine Set to Take Place

GAINESVILLE, FL: The Second International Conference on Computational Biomedicine, hosted by the Center for Applied Optimization of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering,  will take place on January 24th through 26, in the Reitz Union.  The conference promises to provide a rewarding platform for researchers from different domains to interact and exchange ideas on challenging problems in Computational Biomedicine. Selected talks from the conference will be published in book.

The conference was organized by Dr. Panos Pardalos, Distinguished Professor of ISE, several of his doctoral students, and his colleagues from around the world. Plenary speakers include Dr. Giovanni Stracquadanio from the Johns Hopkins University Department of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Fivos Panestos of Neurocomputing and Neurorobotics Research Group at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Dr. Evangelos Christou of the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida, and Dr. Arthur Edison of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Florida.
