Boginski and DOOR Lab to Study Robust Network Design for AFRL

SHALIMARDr. Vladamir Boginski profile picture, FL: Dr. Vladimir L. Boginski, Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering received an award from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to study robustness of networked systems. Mathematical models and solution algorithms will be developed that will help in the design of networks that can sustain multiple attacks.  The award establishes a three-year research partnership in network science between AFRL Munitions Directorate and the Defense-Oriented Operations Research (DOOR) Lab directed by Dr. Boginski. The DOOR Lab is based at the UF-REEF campus in the Florida Panhandle, and it has a history of conducting basic research projects funded by defense agencies. The current award is roughly for $200,ooo with potential for additional funding in the future.
