Del Sol (BS ’72) Shares Rules for Success

GAINESVILLE, FL: Carlos M. del Sol (BS IE 1972), recently retired from his position of Vice President of Global Engineering Systems at Campbell Soup, shared his rules for success and other bits of wisdom with undergraduate ISE students in the “Introduction to ISE” course.  Upon graduation, del Sol entered the MMP (Manufacturing Management Program) with General Electric, taking a one year stint in Philadelphia before returning for a one year stint outside of Gainesville working in a rechargeable battery production facility.  It was during this time that he solidified his desire to run a manufacturing plant.  GE sold the business in 1987, opening the door for him to move to Campbell Soup in Camden, NJ.
