Guan Promoted to Associate Professor

Gainesville, FL (June, 2011):  Dr. Yongpei Guan was promoted to Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in 2005 and worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma before moving to UF in 2009. His research is in discrete and stochastic optimization with current application interests in energy grid design and operations. Among his many accolades, he has been awarded the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award. He directs the Computational and Stochastic Optimization Lab (CSO).
