Ms. McKenzie Landrum is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. She is a two-time Gator having received both her Bachelor’s in ISE and Master’s in Management degrees from UF.As an Instructional Assistant Professor, Ms. Landrum has taught Spreadsheet-Based Decision Support Systems, Industrial Quality Control, Lean Production Systems, Introduction to Data Analytics, Data Analysis for Industrial Applications, and Computer Programming for Engineers. She is working to bring her experiences into the classroom to teach students more than just the course concepts, but methods to apply these concepts in the workplace. In addition, she focuses on incorporating multiple modes of explanation and learning into her courses.

Ms. Landrum also regularly serves as a Faculty Mentor for Senior Design Teams and has mentored students with undergraduate research, as well as advised students working on an undergraduate Honors Thesis.

Her academic research interests are focused on the improvement of educational topics within Industrial and Systems Engineering. As she teaches many courses that include software languages, she is currently focused on the educational implications of including software in theoretical heavy courses and the optimum pedagogical method for integrating technology, such as different software programs, into these courses.
