Sima Sabahi is a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. She has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. She has worked on a range of operations management issues including supply chain resilience, the role of innovation in risk reduction in the supply chains, and the use of artificial intelligence in project management. Working on different aspects of operations management has helped her to develop new theories of supply chain resilience that help organizations to evaluate the problems of risk and disruption from a new perspective. She also has introduced new findings on how organizations can optimize performance by combining operations management and artificial intelligence approaches like machine learning. Her teaching interests include data analytics, machine learning, industrial quality control, and supply chain management..
