CANCUN, MEXICO (JUNE 2010): Dr. J. Cole Smith was awarded the Dr. Hamed K. Eldin Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer in Education Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). As stated by IIE, this award “recognizes individuals in academia who have demonstrated outstanding characteristics in leadership, professionalism, and potential in industrial engineering.
