(1) General body Meeting:
We had our first general body meeting on August 29th. At the beginning of the meeting, the chair of ISE department, Dr. Kaber, and the faculty advisor, Dr. Giang, gave welcome speeches to the students. Then President Yunmei Liu introduced human factors and ergonomics and the mission and goals of the HFES Student Chapter. Additionally, she talked about our upcoming events and how students can benefit from the HFES Student Chapter. At the end of our session, Dr. Giang further introduced more information about the national HFES.

(2) Academic Seminar from Dr. Denny Yu:
Dr. Yu’s talk will focus on the application of sensing and machine learning techniques into interventions that enhance human performance.
