Abstract: Texas A&M Research Initiatives and Emerging Themes
Major efforts are underway at Texas A&M University to advance Grand Challenge research themes. This seminar will provide an overview of some of these, with focus on research infrastructure growth, particularly for healthcare, aging infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and national security. Several research topics from the department of industrial and systems engineering will be highlighted, including data science, human systems, and additive manufacturing. The talk will be of most value to those interested in collaborative research opportunities on Grand Challenge themes.
