Dr. Yongpei Guan joined the Department in 2009.  His research interests include stochastic and discrete optimization, supply chain management, and renewable energy integration and power system operations. His research efforts lead to numerous awards including NSF CAREER Award 2008, ONR YIP Award 2010, and the ones as a faculty adviser for the INFORMS Nicholson Best Student Paper Award (first place) and IIE Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Awards (second and third places). He currently serves as the Director of the Computational Stochastic Optimization Lab and the Interim Chair for the Department.
