GAINESVILLE, FL:  The UF College of Engineering, along with all of the University of Florida, released freshman admissions decisions on February 16, 2013. The College of Engineering admitted 2,385 students, the most ever.

Sixty-nine students declared Industrial & Systems Engineering as their major, also a record high. Last year, 56 students declared ISE as the major of choice, while 65 did in 2011. .

Overall, the freshman class had the highest statistics ever for the University of Florida, with an average GPA of 4.3, ACT of 30, and SAT of 1967.
