Lauderdale (BS 2004) Growing with Voalte.

GAINESVILLE, FL (November 2010): Like many ISE students, Trey Lauderdale (BS ISE 2004) graduated and went to work for a big company, Siemens. But after 1.5 years, he realized that it was not for him. So he returned to UF and completed a degree in Entrepreneurship in the Business School. Upon graduation, he joined Emergin and went to work in sales. All was well, until it was purchased by Phillips. Not wanting to start in with a new, large company, he quit and founded Voalte — a provider of solutions for communication problems at the point-of-care in hospitals. The company, which started in August of 2008, boasts installations in six hospitals and expects to double within the year. Lauderdale returned to campus to enlighten students about working in sales, being an entrepreneur, and working with small companies during his lecture in the sales engineering program.
