BS in ISE/MS in Finance (MSF) Combination Degree

This program, offered by the UF’s Warrington College of Business, offers students the opportunity to “double count” up to 12 credits of specific graduate courses to both BS and MS degrees. On the undergraduate degree audit, these graduate courses can be counted as either required ISE BS courses or as ISE Technical Electives.

Details regarding the application process, as well as courses included in this program, can be found below:

Applying for the ISE BS/MS in Finance Combination Degree Program

Students interested in enrolling in graduate coursework to be applied toward their ISE BS degree must follow these steps:

1. Contact your ISE Advisor to declare your interest in the ISE BS/MSF Combination Degree program. You can do this as soon as you have completed all of your ISE Critical Tracking courses.

  • Students will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the ISE Advising team and referred to the Finance Department by their sophomore year to begin attending info sessions and more!

2. Apply to the MSF Combination Bachelor’s Master’s Degree Program by contacting Kelly Herring at the MSF program office.

  • Students must apply for this program in their second year of study.
  • Applicants will be interviewed and be required to submit an application package.
  • If admitted, students will then work with their ISE and MSF Advisors to complete the 4+1 Combined Degree Application Form and enroll in any requested graduate-level ISE and/or Finance courses.

3. Take graduate courses and earn grades of “B” or higher in each course.

  • Your MSF Advisor will suggest courses that can “double count” toward the ISE BS and the MSF degrees.
  • Your ISE Advisor will help you determine which MSF courses can be applied to your ISE BS degree.
  • Only courses where students earn a grade of “B” or higher are eligible to transfer to the MSF program.

4. Immediately after submitting your undergraduate degree application, apply to the MSF graduate program. Pay close attention to the admission requirements and deadlines for the MSF program.
