Travel arrangements:
The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, a small city not far from the northern border of Florida and a little more than a one hour drive from either coast. It is about a 1.5 hours drive to Jacksonville, and 2 - 2.5 hour drive to either Tampa or Orlando. There are several flights a day between the Gainesville Regional Airport and the Atlanta, Charlotte, and Memphis airports. Driving directions to campus from the various airports can be found here. Visitors can park on campus on weekends in Orange and Green tagged areas at no cost. Parking areas for Reitz Union include the lot on Museum Road across the street from Reitz Union, the Museum Road garage just East of Reitz Union on Museum Road, the O’Connell Center lot at the corner of Gale Lemerand Drive and University Avenue, and the Commuter (Green) and Orange lots on Gale Lemerand Drive just south of Museum Road.
Accommodations:
The conference will be held in the heart of the campus at the Reitz Union Building on Museum Road, in Room 282. Click here for an interactive campus map. Although there is not a “conference hotel,” hotel rates in Gainesville are very reasonable.
