Summary

This “Cesarean Section Prediction” software has be developed to estimate the probability of Cesarean Section and the probability of Cephalopelvic Disproportion/Failure to Progress (CPD) of a pregnant woman based on her demographic characteristics including Age, Height, Weight, Pregnancy Weight Gain, Gestation Age and Fetal Birth Weight. It has been designed to work with Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. Your browser must be fully compatible with VBScript.

 

Instructions

To estimate the probability of Cesarean Section and the probability of Cephalopelvic Disproportion/Failure to Progress (CPD), enter as much information as possible in the fields provided. Fields with ** are required.

·        Age:  Maternal age, in years, at the beginning of the pregnancy. Required input. Accepted range: 17--42.

·        Height: Maternal height in inches. Required input. Accepted range: 59--74.

·        Weight: Maternal weight, in pounds, at the beginning of the pregnancy. Required input. Accepted range: 80--300

·        Fetal Birth Weight: Weight of the newborn, in grams. Accepted range: 1500--4500. If left blank, the median 3340 will be used.

·        Gestation Age: Length of the pregnancy, in weeks. Accepted range: 31--42. If left blank, the median 39 will be used.

·        Pregnancy Weight Gain:  the difference between the weight at the beginning of pregnancy and the end of pregnancy, in pounds. Accepted range: -13—60. If left blank, the median 31 will be used.
