Update about Application Deadlines
Our priority application deadlines of March 28, 2017 and June 6, 2017 have passed, and we are currently finalizing applications that were submitted by those deadlines.  We still have availability for this year’s program, and encourage all interested individuals to move forward with an application.  After we issue decisions on all applications that were received by the above deadlines, we will begin processing applications on a rolling basis. To apply, please follow these instructions.

Class Dates Published for OEM Class of 2019
The class dates have now been finalized for the OEM Class of 2019.

Congratulations to Newest OEM Graduates
Congratulations to our newest group of OEM alumni!  Twenty-nine OEM students graduated in the spring 2017 semester, bringing the total number of OEM alumni to 701.  Eighteen more students who are currently enrolled in the OEM/MBA option are expected to graduate in the summer 2017 semester.  Best wishes for much success!

Program Fees Announced
The program fees for the program beginning in August 2017 have now been set, and we are very pleased to announce that the fees did not increase.

Interim OEM Director Appointed
Dr. Elif Akcali has been appointed as Interim Director of the OEM Program.  Dr. Joe Geunes, the OEM Director from 2007-2016, has moved on to the University of Arkansas, where he is the John and Mary Lib White Systems Integration Chair for the Industrial Engineering Department.  Dr. Akcali began a one year term as Interim OEM Director in November 2016.  Her first involvement with OEM dates back to 2003, when she mentored her first student projects for the EIN 6905 course.  In 2015 she began teaching ESI 6323, Models for Supply Chain Management.  Dr. Akcali is an Associate Professor, and in addition to her new role as Interim OEM Director, she is a UF Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellow and also holds the position of Associate Chair for the Industrial & Systems Engineering Department.  For more about Dr. Akcali’s background and interests, please visit our Faculty and Staff page.
