Mission and Objectives
ISE Department Undergraduate Program Mission
The mission of the undergraduate program is
to provide top quality, state-of-the-art education in industrial and systems engineering and
to foster leading-edge instruction. The program seeks to be nationally recognized by our peer
institutions and by key employers of Industrial and Systems Engineering graduates.
Program Educational Objectives
- To have graduates of the program who are successful in professional careers that
employ Industrial and Systems Engineering concepts and principles and who successfully
pursue further education.
- To have graduates of our program take a comprehensive multi-disciplinary view of
complex industrial and service systems in the solution to engineering problems.
- To have graduates of our program apply skills in system modeling and design,
optimization, analytical problem solving, process improvement, economic analysis,
decision support systems, and information technology, in order to add value to their
organizations' products, processes, and services.
