The Metering Program Supervisor (official title: Engineer) is located in
the Physical Plant Division and responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and recommending repairs and replacement of meters in the University´s metering system. The metering system consists of electrical, chilled water, steam, and water / waste water metering. The supervisor will also be responsible for leading the monthly effort to gather all utility consumption data, analyze for reasonableness, correct errors, and prepare a billing package that is ready for invoicing. In addition the incumbent will evaluate utilities purchased for resale and reconcile with units sold for reasonableness.
Minimum requirements: A bachelor´s degree in an appropriate area of
specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate
experience; a valid Florida driver´s license is required to visit meters,
construction sites and clients.
Preferred qualifications: A bachelor´s degree in an engineering field;
experience in a utility provider environment; knowledge of basic electric
and fluid flow fundamentals; experience in a customer service oriented
production environment; experience utilizing industry standard PC tools
(MS Excel, Access, Word to evaluate and document business and technical
issues.
Since this is a new position, a competitive candidate will possess a
sufficient degree of flexibility to adjust the role to meet
unanticipated demands.

In this position, you may be responsible for assisting in the development of speed models for wafer processing equipment. You will be required to do time and multi-observation studies. You may also be called upon to assist in the support of fab and area capacity and simulation models, by collecting tool and fab performance data. You may also be responsible for design of jigs and fixtures, as well as the maintenance of the workstation procurement and inventory control system. Additional duties may include layout work and support of fab tool installs or development of IE systems. Job function will vary slightly by location.
Qualifications:
You must be a student completing a Master of Science or a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. 3.5 GPA is desired. A six-month internship is required. Additional qualifications include:
