Earle Engineering Leadership Award at the Spring 2012 Commencement Ceremony for the College of Engineering.  The graduating ISE senior has completed four internships, held numerous roles in the Institute of Industrial Engineers student organization, founded and lead the UF chapter of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS), and served on the ISE Student Advisory Council.  Vittetoe’s leadership extends beyond the College of Engineering and into various political science organizations, as well.

GAINESVILLE, FL:  The Senior Design Project class for Industrial and Systems Engineering concluded the semester with final presentations to project sponsors, which included BAE Systems, Costa Farms, Crowley Maritime Transportation, Nielsen, Northrop Grumman, Pepsi, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, UPS and U.S. Navy Medicine.  Projects were varied, including warehouse design, vehicle routing, facilities redesign and process improvement, inventory management and personnel staffing, with solutions ranging from data analysis and optimization models to the design of decision-support systems.  In all, 12 projects were completed with 11 different sponsors involving 48 students.  For more information about the Senior Design program, contact Dr. Joseph Hartman of the ISE Department.
