International Conference on Systems Analysis Tools for Better Health Care Delivery: A New Engineering/Health Care Partnership March 24 - 26, 2010 Gainesville, Florida |
General
Information
Health care is commonly described as a system, but in
many situations it was not created as a system and is not managed as a
system. In the last decade, a broad range of systems-engineering tools (e.g.
Optimization), information technologies, and associated technical,
operational and strategic processes become available to be adapted to improve
the health care efficiency and effectiveness. To highlight and support the
role of systems analysis tools in current health care delivery, and to
promote interaction between researchers globally, an international conference
will be launched starting in 2010, focusing on systems analysis tools in
hospital logistics and clinical scheduling. The theme for the conference is "Systems
Analysis Tools for Better Health Care Delivery". Short
Course
A short course titled Data Mining in Health Care is
offered prior to conference dates, March
22nd and 23rd, 2010.
For more information about this short course, please click Detailed Syllabus. The course
price is $900 and it covers a range of important issues about the use of data
mining techniques in healthcare. For more information, please contact Petraq Papajorgji (petraq@ufl.edu). Conference OrganizerPanos M. Pardalos Co-OrganizerBritta Neugaard, PhD, MPH |
