Reynerio Sanchez Jr. may be a first-year, ISE PhD, student, but he hasn’t shied away from getting involved in the department or from the spotlight. He is currently involved in UF ISE’s new HEALTH-Engine Lab.
Reynerio was recently awarded a Telemundo – Poder En Ti Scholarship by Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) in the amount of $2000. The scholarship is awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic heritage who exhibit academic merit, financial need, community service, and leadership. Applicants must be full-time students, a current SHPE member, and have at least a 3.0 GPA.
