GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The UF ISE Department is proud to announce the recent addition of Dr. Alfredo Garcia to the faculty. Dr. Garcia joins the faculty at the rank of Professor.

Prior to joining UF, Dr. Garcia was a faculty member in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia for thirteen years.  His research interests and expertise include game theory and dynamic optimization with applications in communications and energy networks.

Dr. Garcia received his PhD from the University of Michigan in 1997, and he serves as an Associate Editor of Operations Research and IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control.
