Professor Pardalos to be Honored by Colleagues for 60th Birthday

pardalosChalkidiki, Greece: In honor of the 60th birthday of Dr. Panos Pardalos, Paul and Heidi Brown Preeminent Professor, a Conference on Optimization Control and Applications in the Information Age has been organized. It will be held on June 15-20, 2014 in Chalkidiki, Greece. This event will feature an excellent selection of talks on a wide range of topics and will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and initiating collaborations between the conference participants.

In addition, both the Journals of Global Optimization and Combinatorial Optimization have released special issues honoring Dr. Pardalos’ birthday, featuring his work at the “forefront of some important advances in studying several combinatorial optimization problems including binary quadratic optimization, maximum clique, maximum independent set, quadratic assignment, and network flow problems.”
