GAINESVILLE, FL:  Wednesday, August 22, 2012, marks the beginning of the fall semester at the University of Florida.  The ISE Department welcomes nine new Ph.D. students, and fifty-eight new Master’s students (in addition to those in the new Outreach Engineering Management program).  There will be fifty-five incoming freshmen, as well as nine transfer students joining this fall.  All data is projected based on acceptance of admission from students.  The fifty-eight Master’s students consist of those on campus as well as those taking courses via distance (online via the EDGE program or at the REEF facility in the panhandle).  Six MS students also completed their undergraduate degree in the department last spring and are continuing on in the department.
