Florida Board Outlines Targets for New State University

Lakeland, FL: The Florida Board of Governors of the State University System of Florida approved a list of benchmarks that the University of South Florida Polytechnic campus in Lakeland must achieve before it can become a standalone university — the 12th in the state of Florida. As noted in the BOG’s press release, these include a number of students in STEM and STEM-related majors as well as infrastructure. The timeline was presented in the school’s business plan.
