Teaching:

I have taken a lead role in developing the courses on decision support systems and have coauthored two textbooks:

  1. "Developing Spreadsheet-Based Decision Support Systems," Michelle H. Seref, Ravindra K. Ahuja, and Wayne L. Winston, Dynamic Ideas, 2007.

  2. Developing Web-Enabled Decision Support Systems,” Abhijit A. Pol and Ravindra K. Ahuja, Dynamic Ideas, 2007.

While teaching courses, I strive for proper organization of material and clarity of presentation. One of my strengths is to make difficult concepts simple and understandable to most students. I encourage my students to get involved, and I do it by asking questions and eliciting answers from them. I am highly accessible to students during off-lecture hours and always prepared to clarify their doubts and to alleviate their difficulties. I teach most of my courses using PowerPoint slides and I supplement it by showing some examples on the blackboard.

In my entire professional career, I have taught the following additional courses:

  • Operations Research for Management
  • Introduction to Management Science
  • Introduction to Computing and Programming Languages
  • Network Flow Algorithms
  • Network Optimization
  • Combinatorial Optimization
  • Database Management Systems
  • Design of Production Systems
  • Operations Management
