The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE)
is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the
support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals
involved with improving quality and productivity. Founded in 1948, IIE
is an international, non-profit association that provides leadership for
the application, education, training, research, and development of
industrial engineering.
One method employed by IIE to facilitate
the development of its members is the hosting of numerous regional
conferences throughout the country. Every year, a handful of
universities are honored with the privilege of assembling these
conferences. We, the IIE chapter at the University of Florida, have
been selected to host the 2004 Region 3 Conference. The main objective
of the conference is to encourage networking between students,
educators, and professionals and the sharing of mutually beneficial
ideas amongst the three. As a company that recruits and employs
industrial engineers, we would like to extend an invitation to you and
your organization to attend this event, and help make it a colossal
accomplishment for all participants.
Here are the details:
- Date: Thursday, February 26 - Saturday,
February 28 (3 nights)
- Where: The University of Florida
Reitz Union.
- Theme: Fitting into the Corporate
